Nicola and Ian wanted a dream wedding in Spain on the beach and their prays were answered when they met Scott Gibbons, Director and Wedding Co-ordinator of Sunshine Weddings Spain, who is based in Marbella, Andalucía southern Spain.
Scott showed our bride and groom to a number of venues but they couldn’t erase the images of the traditional chiringuito restaurant that sat on the white sandy beach in a secluded setting in Marbella, which catered for their every wedding need.
The ceremony was held on the beach with the Mediterranean Sea lapping against the shores in the background. The wedding area was set with a white canopy and white chairs with covers and a simple arrangement of flowers around the canopy which was all that was needed to make this beach wedding in Spain look stunning.
Our bride wore the most beautiful vintage lace dress, which complemented her romantic beach wedding theme, and she walked down the aisle to the sounds of a violin and guitar playing traditional Spanish music.
Padre Peter took the ceremony service, and the wedding couple exchanged their vows looking out onto the Ocean. They added a personal touch to their beach theme using sand filled glasses, which they poured together to bond their love and join them together in matrimony as husband and wife.
Once the service completed guests were invited up onto the terrace to enjoy Pimms with lemonade and canapes whilst listening to music from Leo the Sax player, all the while our wedding couple had great fun with photographer David Toms.
The wedding party were ushered to their tables and found their places guided by a themed table plan with names attached to a fishing net, such a simple yet quirky idea to add to their beach wedding theme. Once they found their tables they took to their seats to watch the sun set whilst eating a wedding feast of traditional Spanish ‘tapas, fresh fish and bbq beef.
As guests enjoyed their food, and speeches were made, the Sunshine Weddings Spain Team set to work to re-create their wedding ceremony area into a beach wedding party laying a dance floor and DJ booth and a very cool chill out area, something for everyone to enjoy and party on into the warm Spanish night.
The drink flowed and so did the food with a scrumptious hog roast and wedding cake to keep the weddings guest fed so they could carry on partying long into the early hours.
A perfect setting a perfect day for a beach wedding in Spain!
