Getting Married In Spain…
When Derek proposed to Karen they both knew they wanted to get married in Spain. After having spent many years holidaying in and around the Mediterranean they had fallen in love with southern Spain and the coastline and had dreamt, for many moons, about having their wedding in Spain.
The bridal couple wanted an intimate wedding with just close family and friends, therefore their choice of viewing wedding venues in Spain was specific. The Sunshine Weddings Spain team got to work and found the bride and groom a wonderful boutique wedding venue in Mijas set just above the beach, and over looking the Mediterranean Sea.
The wedding venue in Spain was simply perfect offering a romantic sea view without having to be on the beach for the ceremony however within a stones throw for them to have some fabulous photo’s taken all courtesy of David Toms a well known wedding photographer along the Costa del Sol. David had the pleasure of working with Derek and Karen to produce some outstanding photography to provide the memory shots for the couple to take home and show at their 2nd wedding celebration back home in Belfast.
The day was beautiful themed with a vintage feel with simple romantic decorations and touches complementing the choice of their boutique wedding venue in Spain.
The bride walked down the aisle and was played into her wedding procession by her brother on guitar to greet her future husband where they took part in an emotional, yet light-hearted, ceremony over looking the ocean.
The wedding had a lovely sophisticated edge with champagne & cocktails served at the reception and complimented with the offering of tasty canapes whilst dinner was served in a private dining area facing the sea so guests could experience the views of the Mediterranean sea whilst experiencing the elegance of the vintage table decor.
To complete their wedding in Mijas Costa the wedding party danced the night away to the sounds of the hotels resident musician Johny singing live and playing the piano for all the guests to enjoy.
