When Gloria and Mark travelled to Malaga from Essex to embark on their venue tour with one of the Sunshine Weddings Spain team members, they knew exactly when they wanted to get married in Spain all they needed to find was their dream wedding venue in Spain.
They drove through the Andalucían countryside to Cadiz, which is only a 15-minute drive from Gibraltar airport and 1 hour and 20 minutes from Malaga.
Gloria and Mark had explained they wanted a rustic wedding venue in Spain and so Scott knew the perfect option for them. As soon as they drove into the grounds of the stunning rustic boutique hotel they instantly knew this was the wedding venue in Spain they had always imagined. It was love at first sight! They reserved this wedding venue in Spain exclusively taking all 22 rooms, all with modern bathrooms, for their immediate family for 3-days and used a local hotel just minutes away for the extra 60 guests that travelled over.
The night before the wedding guests enjoyed a welcome get together where a relaxed tapas style evening was served in the towns main square so everyone could enjoy this Spanish themed wedding in Spain.
Finally Saturday April 12th arrived, the sun shone through the bluest of skies, accompanied by temperatures reaching 22 degrees, perfect weather for their April Wedding in Spain.
Gloria & Marks wedding ceremony was held in the 17th century chapel attached to the hotel. The Sunshine Weddings Spain team spent many hours finding an English-speaking priest who took the service accompanied by Gospel singers who sang from the balcony over looking the bridal couple and their guests.
Following the ceremony guests sipped champagne and ate from a huge section of Spanish themed canapés in the courtyard close to the chapel whilst the bride and groom had their photos taken. More food and drinks were enjoyed as part of the wedding banquet in front of the hotel and where everyone could enjoy the Cadiz countryside.
As sunset was approaching the guests were ushered to another courtyard, which was formerly the stables, to cut their wedding cake and to begin a 5-hour party with a DJ playing their favourite party songs. Gloria & Mark’s dream wedding in Spain continued into the night with slices of Serrano ham cut in front of their guests to enjoy as an extra treat.
The following day they all met up again at another location in the hotel grounds to enjoy the live cooking of paella. This completed Gloria & Marks 3-day wedding celebrations with talk of the prior days events and what fantastic memories they would all take home with them of this fantastically themed rustic wedding in Spain.
