Wedding In Nerja: Historic Market Town Of Velez-Malaga…

Celebrating marriage in Spain.

Ciara and Michael got married in front of one hundred of their closest family and friends at their wedding in Nerja Spain.

Love at first sight

Our first meeting with Ciara and Michael was just over a year ago. After they saw this Nerja wedding venue ‘and fell in love with it, we had to act quickly, due to this being their only visit to Spain before their big day. The team pulled out all the stops and organised a food tasting straight away at the chosen venue and Scott drove up from Marbella to Nerja to make sure everything ran smoothly. The couple was delighted and everything was booked and signed on the same day. When something needs to be done quickly, not only do we get it done, we make sure we do it properly.

Rustic Spanish views.

The wedding venue is perched on a small hill above the historic market town of Velez-Malaga (inland between Nerja and Malaga) and boasts spectacular views of both the coast and the Axarquia region. The venue is a modern building yet still feels like a 19th century Andalusian cottage. The accommodation consists of 20 rooms, which are a mixture of contemporary luxurious decor and vintage.

With a beautiful Mediterranean garden of 10.000 m2 surrounded by classical antiques it is no surprise that this is one of southern Spain’s number one wedding venues, with dozens of nuptials hosted here each year.

A dream come true

On the big day, we were blessed with warm weather and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. While the team started setting up for the wedding, Ciara and her five maids were left in the talented hands of hairdresser Alex and make-up artist Liza. Alex created a variety of loose wavy styles on the maids, which worked beautifully with their dusky, pink floor-length gowns.

Ciara went for a ‘do’ of soft waves worn to one side which had an old school Hollywood feel to it. For the make-up Liza created bronzed glowing skin which she paired with a nude lip. Soon it was time for Ciara to put on her breathtakingly beautiful wedding dress. The classical slim silhouette teamed with lace cape sleeves was simply divine.

As for the groom and his ushers, they complemented the soft pastel theme with their three piece navy suits paired with white shirts and grey ties.

Think pink

Most of the decor was quite neutral, with wooden, foliage or linen textures. This was broken up with little pops of colour, such as pink roses in the ceremonial floral display. The theme was continued with pale pink roses incorporated into the bridal bouquet.
