Marbella Wedding By The Sea: Part Two Of Paul and Eilidh’s Big Day…
In Part One we met Paul and Elidh, the Scottish couple that wanted a Marbella wedding by the sea, complete with a touch of Scottish tradition. We heard all about their choice of beach venue and their pretty garden ceremony. So on with their day…
After the beautiful ceremony in the beach club’s lush gardens, the bridal couple had their photos taken on the romantic bridge on the lake and their guests were led through the gardens to the beach front by a Scottish bagpipe player.
A saxophonist played jazz as the guests sipped their Champagne and admired the sea views. One of the joys of planning weddings in the South of Spain is the weather. Unlike other planners that have to worry about high winds and rain dampening the day, our couples only have to think about supplying shade and a little sun cream…confident in the fact that their guests will simply be happy to stand in the warm sunlight and stare out across the Med.
The wedding meal was held in the beach club restaurant. Guests were seated and a large round of applause irrupted as the wedding couple were led back in to the restaurant by the Scottish bagpipe player. Continuing the Scottish tradition, the groom was also presented with a glass of Whisky by his new father-in-law – the perfect Celtic twist to their Marbella wedding by the sea.
Another great advantage of marrying in the South of Spain is the variety of fresh and sumptuous food our couples are offered by our venues and caterers. Paul and Elidh’s guests were treated to a choice of King Prawn Skewers or Beef Carpaccio for starters, Red Mullet Fillet or Beef Tenderloin followed by everyone’s favourites Dark Chocolate Mousse or White Chocolate and Pistachio Brownies with White Chocolate Ice Cream. It was safe to say that there were huge smiles all round, that turned to tears and laughter once the speeches were under way.
As the sun began to set over the sparkling sea, the dance floor was set up inside and the evening got under way with a great dance set by Rob our DJ. He was then joined again by Damian, the jazz saxophonist, and together they put together a show to remember. What a fantastic wedding for a fantastic couple; a pretty garden ceremony, beach-side Champagne, delicious local dishes and dancing into the early morning…the perfect Marbella wedding by the sea.
