For a charming destination wedding in Mallorca, surrounded by sky and sea, check out today’s feature article starring the wonderful bridal couple, Clare and Charlie, who recently said “I do” in one of the most privileged locations in Mallorca.
Getting married in Mallorca means sunny weather, turquoise blue waters, stunning mountain views and exquisite cuisine. In fact the island is a unique place in the world and is fast becoming one of the preferred destinations for people all over the world to get married.
Add to that an additional touch of sophistication and you get a wonderful setting and dream wedding like the one recently celebrated between Clare and Charlie.
In one of the most emblematic hotels on the island since the 1950s, located next to the sea in a unique environment, you can find this stunning five star hotel, inspired by the sober styles of the 16th and 17th centuries which are represented in the palace building.
On a glorious day in the middle of August, the elegant bridal couple Clare and Charlie were joined by close family and friends to celebrate a most special day, after rescheduling their wedding from 2020.
One of the most special guests at the wedding was the bridal couple’s own young son, in fact there were almost more young guests than adult guest and this very intimate, family affair, and the team at Sunshine Weddings Spain made sure that both young and old were catered for in terms of entertainment and catering. In fact, there were six nannies at the venue to make sure all the kiddies were entertained and well looked after, much to the delight of the mums and dads, who were able to fully relax and enjoy the magical day.
On arriving at the stately grounds, the guests were greeted with live music by the talented singing guitarist, Sandra, and as a welcome drink, they were served sparkling Cava and a range of other beverages. There the guests were allowed a moment to mingle whilst enjoying the wonderful setting opposite the sea.
Meanwhile, the beautiful bride, looking radiant in her classic romance, ball gown wedding dress, which featured a full, voluminous skirt, enjoyed a quick photo session on the marble stairs of the elegant five-star hotel entrance before she was escorted on the arms of her father to the outdoor wedding ceremony which had been set up outdoors facing the cerulean blue sea.
There the groom, looking debonair and handsome, awaited for his beautiful wife-to-be to join him and for the outdoor ceremony to commence, a heartening nuptial rite led by the wonderful celebrant Annie. The wedding vows were said with the sea as witness of a celebration that nobody will ever forget.
The main course was held in a large outdoor terrace area with the breathtaking views of the tranquil sea as the main feature. There the wedding guests were offered a fantastic feast of delicious majorcan cuisine which was finished off with the most stunning wedding cake made by cake baker extraordinaire Kathy, who created a fabulous vanilla sponge with passionfruit on the lower tier and then the second tier was lemon sponge with vanilla and raspberry.
After the romantic first dance, the bride and groom were joined by all their guests in an indoor space, where a catchy playlist, at the hands of the groovy DJ Andreas, meant fun was had by all.
Approximately 40 guests were able to share this fairy-tale event with the wonderful bridal couple and we thank Clare and Charlie for sharing their special day with us. A huge thank you also to Thomas Baar for the use of these incredible images and Luis Fernandez, the videographer for the day.
