Marbella Wedding Villa: A Chic Countryside Celebration…

Rachel and Bobby’s wedding at the beautiful Villa late last summer was an epic day of love surrounded by close family and friends. This stunning destination wedding venue property, nestled in an oasis of verdant campo just outside of the charming village of Benahavis, is just a stone’s throw away from the glamorous and cosmopolitan resort of Marbella, offering bridal couples and their guests the very best of both worlds.

The property is built in a fusion of eye-catching Moorish and Mediterranean styles, whose theme continues on the inside, too with rooms full of attractive antiques and fetching Andalusian fabrics. Set against the glorious natural backdrop of the riverside, the villa is further complimented still by the greenery of the valley, the hills and native Iberian woodland. The private estate also boasts zen-like springs and streams, an organic farm and organic kitchen gardens, transporting you to a world of total seclusion that perfectly frames the story of a wedding day, moment by moment, making for some truly wonderful photography.

It truly is one of the most unique and pretty places to celebrate in southern Spain, and small wonder that today’s featured couple chose to tie the knot in such luscious surroundings.

This magical villa caters for weddings with up to 70 guests, offering accommodation for 10 people besides. A wonderful way for the newlyweds to spend quality time unwinding with close family and friends the days either side of the wedding. Whilst for the rest of the bridal party, the nearby village resort of Benahavis offers two well-established and attractive hotels – plus, of course, Marbella and Puerto Banus are full of hotel, apartment, and bed and breakfast options to suit every taste and budget.

The tantalising turquoise waters of the villa’s swimming pool cannot be overlooked, such is their elegant centrepiece at the exterior of the property. Indeed, the lawns extending from this area make an ideal spot for guests to enjoy cocktails and chat whilst the bride and groom have their pictures taken in and around the attractive grounds’ many nooks and secret places.

Terraces and pergolas also fringe the large grounds of the property, offering idyllic and shady retreats – just about the perfect tableau for an all-important wedding breakfast, speeches, and cake cutting. Rachel and Bobby’s guests were certainly wowed by this aspect of the venue – as well as the gorgeous decor which gave everything a final flourish of opulence.

As the sun set on an intimately fun and memorably romantic day, Rachel and Bobby took to the lawns which had transported themselves into a dance floor underneath the canopy of the stars, further illuminated by fairy lights. Here they enjoyed their first dance amidst cheers from their guests, and everyone partied away into the small hours… such is the beauty of a remote property that’s not subject to the usual noise restriction rules!

And, whilst this fabulous villa more than ticks the fairytale wedding boxes, it scores high on practicality too: the Costa del Sol‘s great transport links make the villa easy to reach by plane, train, or car: Malaga and Gibraltar airport are both less than an hour away, linking with the main AP7 motorway, before a short drive inland to the property.
