It’s the month of May and our’weddings in Spain are now in full swing, so ‘I thought it would be good to share with you all the wedding celebrations we have been planning so you can get an idea of the fabulous wedding venues in Spain and locations that are available for your dream wedding in the sun. Last week our bride and groom chose the countryside village of Benahavis as their Spanish wedding destination. The bride and groom wanted all their guests to share their wedding celebrations with them, not just for one day, but for the duration of their stay so opted for a hotel that sits in a quaint and beautiful village not far from the coast and Puerto Banus.
They started the wedding holiday with a stag and hen party, entertaining their friends in the exclusive and celebrity hot spot of Puerto Banus, and with an organised guest list to all the top night clubs.
A day later they prepared for their big wedding in Spain. Our bride and grooms’special day began at the church in Benahavis where the couple had a romantic catholic wedding ceremony whilst being played to by a guitarist and soprano singer. Afterwards they lead their wedding guests to a tapas bar and were seated around reserved tables overlooking the center of the village square and where guest enjoyed the traditional feel of their Spanish wedding, eating tapas and drinking local wine.
The main wedding reception and party was held back at their wedding venue in Benahavis’set in their hotel around the pool. The wedding party enjoyed the country and surrounding village views whilst listening to flamenco guitar, sipping champagne and enjoying canapes.
The wedding feast was held inside a beautifully decorated banqueting room on two floors. The wedding party enjoyed the sounds of Steve Nelson and his band and then danced to DJ beats long into the early hours of the following morning.
Not wanting the celebrations to end our bride and groom thanked everyone by holding a wonderful BBQ to soak up all the alcohol from the night before whilst guests chatted about what a fantastic time they had and how special to have been part of this 4-day wedding in Spain.
