Dear family and friends,

As you will already be aware, we are getting hitched and the location is sunny Spain! We couldn’t think of a better place to start our married life together, after all, it is the location of the start of this whole wedding palaver (the proposal!).

We have chosen to tie the knot at the lovely Hacienda San Jose in Mijas, Spain which has a beautiful backdrop of the Spanish countryside. Hopefully the free drinks, the excuse of a holiday and our great company will be enough to persuade you to join us as we would love to share our special day with you.

The address of the Hacienda is Camino 1, Entrerrios, Mijas Costa 29649.

To get there:

Take the exit for La Cala de Mijas off the main A7 coast road. You will see a market ground and the market will be there on the Saturday. Take the road past the market.
Drive straight over three roundabouts. You are on a dual carriageway.
At the fourth roundabout there is a petrol station on your LHS. Take the first right off this and continue straight over the next small roundabout, continuing straight under the motorway bridge.
At the next roundabout, keep to the right taking the first exit.
Continue straight until you see Santana Golf Club entrance on your LHS. Slow down and you will see signage’ on the right for Entrerrios. Take this right exit and follow the road that narrows and becomes quite bendy.
After approx 2kms, you will see a small sign on your LHS saying Hacienda San Jose. Take this turning (Camino 1) and follow it for a further 1km approximately.
You will see a large house on your LHS named Hacienda San Jose. You have arrived!

The ceremony will take place at the Hacienda at 15:45, so please make sure you arrive by 15:15 at the latest to enjoy a welcome drink and to take your seats. Only the bride is allowed to be late!!

The closest airport to fly into is Malaga, which is approximately a 20 minute drive from our wedding venue. There are lots to see and do whilst in Spain such as visiting the old town in Marbella, the marina in Puerto Banus, the Puente Nuevo Bridge in Ronda and the white village of Mijas however if your stay is short and sweet and you wish to have some well earned rest, La Cala is only a stones throw away from our chosen venue.

We appreciate that not everyone will be as familiar with Spain as others and therefore we have set out some information below which will hopefully assist in organising your trip to Spain and to ensuring that your stay is as enjoyable as possible. If we have left any information out, please do contact us, otherwise we will see you Spain (if not sooner)!

CAR HIRE

For those of you comfortable with driving abroad, you may wish to hire a car if you would like to explore in and around Mijas. We hired a car during our trip to Spain in October 2014 and we had great fun travelling around at our own leisure. ‘Marbella and Puerto Banus are only a 20 minute drive from Mijas. We had no trouble parking etc however we would say it’s essential to have either a sat nav which provides for Europe or a mobile with data roaming (which is what we used).

TRANSFERS

We would recommend a company called Malaga Transfer and have negotiated discounted prices to Mijas Costa as follows:

Standard car ( type Ford Mondeo or similar) ‘with capacity for 4 people + 3 medium suitcases: 53 euros, which is cheaper than a normal taxi from the airport which is around €70.
In an executive car ‘(type Mercedes’ E class, Audi A6 or similar) with capacity for 4 people + 3 medium suitcases 64 euros.
In a luxury car type Mercedes S class or similar ‘capacity for 4 people +’ 3 medium suitcases : 76 euros.
In a people carrier up to 7 people: 75 euros.
Microbus up to 12 people: 100 euros.
Microbus up to 19 people: 120 euros.
