Preparation—The Bridal Suite

As the mid-afternoon sun cast its warm glow, the bridal suite hummed with excitement. Hair and makeup were meticulously perfected, and the bridal party gathered for final touches. Buttonholes were distributed among the groomsmen. It was the moment they had all been waiting for – time to take a deep breath.

Welcome—Flanked by Palm Trees and Olive Fields

Guests arrived and groomsmen Simon and Rory welcomed them, guiding them to the drinks area where they enjoyed a refreshing Cava, Aperol spritz or homemade lemonades in original, strawberry and mint flavours, all the while enjoying an acoustic guitar set which filled the air with welcoming melodies by the talented local musician Jay.

While guests mingled, the Father-of-the-Bride made his way to the bridal suite, and a touching first look photo between father and daughter unfolded, a moment beautifully captured by Mallorcan-based photographer Billie.

The Ceremony—A Rustic Setting Amid Green Grass

The ceremony unfolded on the front lawn, with bridesmaids offering petals to those in aisle seats. Rustic brown cross-back chairs added elegance to the scene, and fans awaited the ladies in the warmth of the Spanish sun.

Toni, a local Mallorcan celebrant, conducted a unique and light-hearted ceremony, and as the newlyweds said their vows and exchanged their rings, Jay’s guitar rendition of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” played in the background. The emotional ceremony concluded, and Toni Pons, the master of ceremonies, encouraged guests to get ready with petals for the grand exit.

With “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” playing loudly, Kate and Stephen walked hand in hand down the aisle, and their journey as a married couple began.

Cocktail Hour—Setting the Mood with Saxophone Vibes

Following the newlyweds, guests made their way to an outdoor terrace for the drink reception. There, amidst a traditional Spanish setting, waiters circulated with a tempting array of canapés. These included macerated seasonal fruit, mini mahonés cheese with quince, paella in a single bite, a cloud of parmesan with mushrooms and truffle, and crunchy herb crisps with Galician beef tartare. Meanwhile, musician Jay seamlessly transitioned into a sophisticated saxophone set, filling the early evening with smooth jazz vibes.

The Wedding Breakfast—Alfresco Feast in a Charming Courtyard

The wedding breakfast took place in the charming courtyard between the main house and guest accommodations. The stone steps and rustic ambiance provided picturesque backdrops for photos as the guests were served cava and water and the important speeches began, starting with the Father-of-the-Bride.

The speeches seamlessly led into a multi-course meal that commenced with hake Mallorcan style, followed by Galician beef fillet paired with charred spring onions, and concluded with a delectable dessert of crème brûlée infused with the fragrance of orange blossom. Vegetarian options were thoughtfully provided throughout the courses.

While guests savoured the last sweet course of the meal, Kate and Stephen seized the opportunity for a private pre-sunset photoshoot, immortalising the beauty of their unforgettable day.

The Party—Energised by a Live Music Band

The music band Isla Paradiso Band led guests to the dance area for the first dance, marking the beginning of the party and open bar. A pause by the band allowed for the traditional cake cutting before a second music set took place, ensuring the energy was kept high.

The music baton was then handed over to a skilled DJ, who was accompanied by a talented saxophonist for two hours and together they had everyone dancing late into the night where the soft glow of string lights cast a fairytale-like ambiance over this magical day.

As the clock struck midnight, a delightful selection of late-night snacks, including cake, chicken pastries, and mini hamburgers with cheese, appeared to fuel the festivities that continued until 3 am when guests were then safely transported to their accommodations via a private transport hire, bringing a perfect end to a truly memorable day.

The Festivities Continue—Post-Wedding Beach Party

The celebration continued the following day with a vibrant post-wedding party hosted at a fashionable beach club. This beach club provided the ideal backdrop for extending the wedding festivities. Its location offered breathtaking coastal views, allowing guests to bask in the natural beauty of the shoreline.

As the sun gracefully dipped below the horizon, it cast a warm and golden hue across the beach, painting a picturesque scene that marked the conclusion of what had been an unforgettable wedding weekend.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Kate and Stephen for allowing us to be a part of their special day. The team at Sunshine Weddings Spain wishes you all the best in this next chapter of life. We would also like to express our gratitude to Billie for generously sharing these wonderful wedding images, as well as all our providers for their unwavering dedication and professionalism.
