Welcome and Refreshments
On the final day of August last year, the wedding festivities commenced in the open garden of the country house. As guests arrived, they were greeted with refreshing drinks and lemonade served in the balmy sunshine. The tranquil ambiance of the garden, complemented by soft background music, provided the perfect backdrop for mingling and excitement. Against this serene setting, friends and family basked in the moment, soaking in the warmth of the day before transitioning to the ceremony area, where the magic continued to unfold.
The Ceremony – A Moment of Emotion
Amid the picturesque garden gazebo, with views overlooking the scenic Spanish countryside, the bride, radiant in her white lace dress and veil, approached the groom who awaited eagerly, impeccably dressed in a beige suit. The intimate gathering witnessed a heartfelt ceremony, presided over by Minister Jeff, a local English-speaking officiant. His words, filled with warmth and sincerity, added a personal touch to the occasion.
Vows were exchanged and promises made against the backdrop of rolling hills and lush greenery where the simplicity and intimacy of the setting added authenticity to the moment, making it truly unforgettable. As the ceremony concluded, guests celebrated by showering the newlyweds with white rose petals, symbolising blessings and well-wishes for the beginning of a new chapter for the bride and groom.
Drinks Reception – Friendship and beverages
Following the ceremony, guests gathered on the charming Andalusian-style terrace for a delightful drinks reception. There, they sampled an array of tasty canapés, including skewers of marinated sardines, avocado hummus with beet sprouts and chia seeds, chicken gyozas with soy sauce, beef jerky croquettes, and marinated chicken brochettes with yakitori, all expertly passed around.
During this culinary appetiser, the wedding party enjoyed the melodious tunes of Soprano singer Laura Elen, who added a touch of elegance to the ambiance. Meanwhile, the newlyweds seized a moment for a pre-sunset photo shoot, expertly captured by the talented Issy Benchetrit. Against the soft hues of the Spanish sunset, Benchetrit’s lens immortalised enchanting moments and heartfelt exchanges, ensuring that the memories of this special day would endure for a lifetime.
The Wedding Breakfast – A Spanish Feast
Following the drinks reception, guests were ushered into a specially arranged indoor space to partake in a sumptuous wedding feast featuring authentic Spanish cuisine. The meal commenced with a succulent starter of slices of duck magret stuffed with foie in crispy tender leaf salad, accompanied by forest fruits and cured goat cheese. For the main course, guests were presented with an Iberian sirloin accompanied by black trumpet cream, alongside potato gratin with parmesan and a pepper skewer with cherry tomatoes. A vegetarian option was also available for those preferring a meat-free alternative.
The exceptional menu culminated with a delectable dessert of chocolate coulant with vanilla ice cream, satisfying even the most discerning sweet tooth. Following dessert, guests were treated to the soulful melodies of saxophonist Demian Arroyo, who set the stage for all to party and dance into the evening.
Amid laughter and tears, heartfelt wedding speeches were delivered, capturing the essence of the day as guests looked on to a spectacle of cold fireworks, accompanied by a confetti machine, adding to the excitement of the evening. These moments were all beautifully captured by the talented Issy Benchetrit before the evening’s highlight – hitting the dance floor.
The Party – a night of celebration
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the day transformed into a night of celebration. Guests danced the night away to the infectious beats of a musical duo featuring one of our beloved DJs and a talented saxophonist. The dynamic combination of tunes kept the energy high and the dance floor packed, creating unforgettable moments for all.
Adding to the festivities, a fun photobooth set up by Go Fotomaton provided entertainment and captured hilarious memories of friends and family throughout the evening. From silly props to heartfelt embraces, the photobooth became a focal point for laughter and fun.
With each step on the dance floor and every snapshot taken, the wedding day experience was brought to a lively conclusion, filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories that will be treasured for years to come.
