Hollie and Joe’s ceremony was held on the sweeping lawns of the property, amidst a tableau of rolling Mediterranean hills, the local white-washed village punctuating the panoramic views, and the cerulean sky.
The bride looked absolutely radiant in her off-the-shoulder wedding gown, dazzling all her guests – as well as, of course, her groom.
The Hacienda also dazzles, both inside and out!
Features include a luxurious swimming pool and charming poolside ?€?casita’, stunning shady seating areas – just perfect for mingling and sipping champagne, an Andalusian-style built-in BBQ and pizza oven, extensive grounds (some 10,000 square metres) flourishing with exotic tropical gardens and vast manicured lawns, and tennis facilities… not to forget those aforementioned 360 degree views to die for.
Inside, the Hacienda is graced with elegant junior suites and double bedrooms, charming decor and convivial living spaces. There’s even a library!
This exquisite countryside retreat can sleep up to twenty people, making it super convenient for close family and friends to reside ‘on-site’ before and after the special day, along with the bride and groom. Whilst the rest of the wedding party will be absolutely spoilt for choice with the vast array of accommodation options available in nearby Mijas, dotted along its coastline on Mijas Costa, or perhaps a little further afield in Marbella, Puerto Banus (both just twenty minutes away), or even the cultural city of Malaga. This part of the Costa del Sol has so much to offer, meaning the wedding can basically be turned into a holiday!
What makes this charming destination wedding venue property all the more appealing is its close proximity to the airports and motorway. Family and friends can choose to fly into either Malaga or Gibraltar airports, which are then connected via the convenience AP7 autovia. Malaga city also has a well-appointed train station.
After the fabulous ceremony, surrounded by family and friends – and conducted by the Costa’s wonderful Padre Peter – Hollie and Joe were whisked away by their photographer friend, who flew over especially from the UK for the event, for some awesome snapshots to capture the special moments of the day.
The wedding breakfast was a feast for all the senses with the beautifully decorated tables fringing the gorgeous turquoise pool. This was rounded off with the all-important speeches, which went down a treat, followed by another treat… that of the scrumptious wedding cake, artfully displayed on wine barrels. Another tableau straight out of a bridal magazine.
As the golden summer rays began to dip, the Hacienda’s grounds transform into nature’s dance floor – with a little help from some magical fairy lighting, lanterns… and of course, music. Here guests can party away until the small hours, safe in the knowledge there are far less noise restrictions than in the Costa del Sol’s busier parts!
Hollie, Joe and their guests did just that, partying beneath the sublime velvet canopy of the stars.
