As we enter 2014 I thought I would provide you all with a taster of what your dream wedding in Spain could look like and to also share with you the wonderful memories that some of our bride and grooms have taken away with them in 2013…. Lucy had always wanted her dream wedding in Spain. As a child she had spent many holidays and even lived on the Costa Del Sol so getting married in Spain was such a great way to complete this chapter in her life.
When Lucy decided to return to London she met her Russian soul mate, and partner for life, Alex who she worked with. Both agreed on having their wedding in Spain in the Summer to co inside with Lucy’s brother visiting from Australia.. The date chosen for this Summer’Wedding in Spain was Thursday 29th August 2013 and so Alex and Lucy sent their wedding invites to an intimate group of 50 guests. Making their wedding in Spain during the Summer season meant they could share not only their special villa wedding venue in Marbella, but a great holiday with their very closest friends and family.
And so Lucy and Alex had found their dream wedding venue in Spain and booked this 5 bedroom villa, overlooking the golf course and the Mijas mountain range, to stay for a weeks holidays.
Following the booking of their villa wedding venue in Spain, Lucy and Alex found out Lucy was pregnant and they were both to be parents. This did now slow down Lucy’s enthusiasm for her wedding planning in Spain, it only enhanced her excitement and made her share all the details with Scott who took everything on board so he could ensure smooth flow on the day.
The Sunshine Weddings Spain team helped arranged a welcome BBQ on the first night where all their guests who were staying in the villa, and close by, enjoyed a great choice of fish and meats whilst sitting in the open Spanish air and dining under the stars.
On the day of this special wedding in Spain the’guests’arrived at this villa wedding in Marbella to enjoy’amazing views. After a welcome drink on the middle terrace all guests walked down to the shaded seating area by the pool and sat waiting until they saw Lucy’s infectious smile and beaming face as she took in every moment and stride of her procession with her father.
Following the ceremony all guests enjoyed champagne and canapes and then were seated in a pretty quaint courtyard and enjoyed a hog roast with a selection of delicious salads.
Guests then returned to the front terrace to enjoy the cutting of the cake in the courtyard, which had been cleared and a bar had been produced, the area transformed with a dance floor for the band to begin playing. Even though Lucy was pregnant her energy levels were high as she danced to the music of the band and her dream villa wedding in Marbella Spain became reality. As the band finished playing a dj took over and the celebrations continued on until Lucy and her guests were partied out.
To help everyone recover from the night before a paella party round the pool was held the following day and all the guests returned to discuss their memories of this amazing wedding in Spain hosted by Lucy and Alex and their bundle of joy to be.
