Your wedding day is one of the most important events in your life, and it’s only fitting that you make it truly memorable, which is exactly what Caroline and Tim did by having a stylish celebration at a gorgeous finca wedding venue in Marbella…

Picture the scene… a glorious spring’s day, chilled champagne in coupe glasses being served as a welcome drink under some welcome shade sails, live music playing in the background and a roaming photographer capturing genuine emotions and reactions.

Located in the jewel of the Costa del Sol, this recently renovated finca is a hidden Marbella gem that we are delighted to showcase in today’s beautiful bridal story where Caroline and Tim, surrounded by all of their family and friends, celebrated their nuptials last May,

Outdoor wedding ceremony in Spain’s Marbella.

A finca wedding is a popular choice for a number of reasons; most fincas offer a secluded paradisiacal location for couples seeking tranquillity and relaxation on their wedding day, and this particular finca stands out for its many green areas, tropical gardens and amazing sea views.

The Ceremony—in a chic outdoor space graced with natural lighting and sensitivity.

There are several elegant spaces to hold the wedding ceremony within the finca and Caroline and Tim opted for a beautiful space —between the two towering palm trees and views to the glimmering Mediterranean sea—to be joined as husband and wife in an intimate ceremony against the backdrop of a giant floral wedding ceremony wreath decorated with pastel colours and dried palm leaves.

The beautiful ceremony, full of emotion, excitement and sensitivity. finished to “All of me” by John legend as the wedding guests threw white rose petals over the newlyweds during the recessional.

The cocktail hour—with dreamy floral backdrops.

Afterwards, guests settled once again under the shade sails laughing and joking with friends and family as they enjoyed some canapes and drinks including an assortment of Iberian hams, ham and tomato bites, thai chicken fingers and Iberrian bbq skewers as well as five different flavoured ice creams; strawberry, lemon, mint, vanilla and chocolate.

As guests continued to enjoy scoops of mouthwatering gelato, the newlyweds were whisked away for a pre-sunset photo shoot at the hands of the hugely talented Rachel from Balance Photography who captured some truly stunning and warm, sun-kissed exchanges thanks to the soft natural lighting and the backdrop of greenery.

The wedding breakfast—in an elegant indoor space.

This venue offers different spaces which allows for a change of scene throughout the day, such as an elegant indoor space that, on this occasion, provided a cooling option for the wedding feast. Once the guests were seated, all enjoyed a delicious spread which included a selection of shared tapas followed by a choice of succulent chicken  with vegetables or sea bass fillet over artichoke hearts and wild asparagus as well as a Mushroom and asparagus risotto for the vegetarian guests.

The exceptional menu was finished off with creamy white chocolate with brownie and vanilla ice cream and a choice of coffee and infusions.

The first dance—under enhancing outdoor fairy lights.

As dusk settled, enhancing outdoor twinkling lights came into play, creating a fairy-tale vibe and set the mood for the romantic first dance which was followed by a live band performance that had everyone on their feet and dancing.

The after-party celebrations also included plenty of moments of merriment thanks to a Magic Mirror that had been set-up and kept the newlyweds and their guests highly entertained.

Just before midnight, guests were invited to move back into the indoor space where they were able to continue partying into the small hours and enjoyed a round of late night snacks, including a doughnut wall and plenty of white chocolate wedding cake, ending the sweet day on a sweet note!

Our thanks to Caroline and Tim for letting us help arrange their big day. We wish them many future years of happiness ahead. And our thanks to the wonderfully talented Rachel from Balance Photography for the incredible images as well as to all of our suppliers for their continued hard work and professionalism.
