The Venue: An Ideal Blend of Seclusion and Convenience

Choosing a venue between Marbella and Benahavis, Kristen and Jurgen found a sweet spot – a villa that combined privacy with accessibility. Tucked away but just a 15-minute drive from the vibrant Costa del Sol, the 36000m2 villa provided a spacious yet cosy setting. Easily sleeping up to fifteen guests, this rustic villa set the stage for a nature-infused celebration.

The Welcome: Picturesque Arrival

As guests made their way to the villa down a picturesque road, a 300-metre private driveway bordered by southern flora greeted them. There, local flamenco artist, Nano, strummed ambient guitar music as guests arrived and were offered a choice of refreshing welcome drinks including cava, beer, and soft drinks. The venue’s entrance, enhanced by the warm southern Spanish weather, served as an ideal welcome and starting point for Kristen and Jurgen’s special day.

The Ceremony: Elegant Simplicity

Set against the backdrop of the lush front lawn, offering breathtaking views of the Marbella valley and the Mediterranean Sea, the ceremony began with soothing guitar tunes, skillfully led once again by Nano, who provided the perfect vibe for the moment.

Amid the natural décor featuring a burst of blooms and swaying palm trees, Kristen looked stunning in her lace-embroidered bridal dress and a long veil. The striking red bouquet and matching headpiece added a vibrant touch to her overall look and complemented the handsome groom’s light blue suit.

Rings were exchanged, marking the beginning of a new chapter for Kristen and Jurgen, and the bridal arch, draped with green leaves and red blooms, framed the couple as they shared this intimate moment and touching start to their special day.

The Drinks Reception: Relaxed Moments Under a Pergola

Post-ceremony, guests enjoyed a selection of drinks and canapés in the villa’s gardens, surrounded by an open-air pool, outdoor jacuzzi, and a chill-out area. Nano’s ambient music added to the laid-back atmosphere, making it an effortless transition from ceremony to celebration.

The Wedding Breakfast: Poolside Elegance

The wedding breakfast unfolded beside the pool, where guests enjoyed the balmy evening breeze. Set against this secluded and elegant backdrop, photographer Rebecca Davison adeptly immortalised fun family moments. As the sun dipped below the horizon and twinkling overhead lights added a celestial magic vibe, friends and family enjoyed a variety of Spanish flavours, wines, and beers. The crucial speeches were delivered, seamlessly blending a touch of both fun and sentiment into the evening’s festivities.

The Evening Party: Dancing until the Early Hours

Concluding the wedding breakfast was a dessert trio, followed by an invitation to the nightclub, the evening’s energy surged as the four-hour open bar began, and DJ Fuller seized control with a lively playlist, enticing everyone to the dance floor.

At 2:00 am, a private transport hire arrived to ensure the safe delivery of all the guests to their respective accommodation and marked the conclusion of an enchanting celebration in the sunshine.

Thank you to the lovely Kristen and Jurgen for sharing your special day with us. The entire Sunshine Weddings team wishes you both lots of love and happiness in your future together. Special thanks to the talented Rebecca Davidson for capturing these beautiful photos and being a part of the celebration.
