In the heart of Marbella, Krisha and Darren commenced their journey into wedded life at a private venue—a mere stone’s throw from the vibrant bustle of Marbella, yet worlds apart thanks to the seclusion of this wedding venue’s exclusive grounds.

Nestled amid picturesque mountains and overlooking the sea, this unique finca seamlessly blends modern elegance with authentic Andalusian charm. Formerly a family-owned restaurant, the venue has been transformed into a magnificent event space, complete with gardens, verandas, and a stunning amphitheatre, making it an ideal backdrop for a magical celebration.

Morning Preparations – The Enchanting Venue.

The morning sun bathed the Marbella landscape in a golden hue as Krisha and her girl gang immersed themselves in the bridal preparations. With the convenience of an early check-in, the spacious villa transformed into a hub of activity. Makeup artist Kerstin, arrived early and went to work, skillfully enhancing the natural beauty of the bride. Simultaneously, florist Karen’s timely delivery of thoughtfully crafted bouquets added a touch of elegance, complementing the overall atmosphere of the day. Meanwhile, photographers Rachel and Oliver from Balance Photography immortalised these endearing pre-ceremony moments.

Welcome Drinks – Outdoor Space with Sweeping Vistas.

The welcome drinks kicked off in a shaded area, offering guests a picturesque view of Marbella. Sangria, beer, and soft drinks were on hand as guests enjoyed the scenic surroundings. There, the wedding party mingled freely, all while relaxing to the ambient sound of skilled local Spanish guitarist, Nano, who created a relaxed atmosphere that set the tone for the day.

The pivotal moment of the day unfolded in a semicircular open-air space between two towering Roman-style columns. Nano’s adept guitar playing once again set the tone, creating a romantic ambiance that welcomed the bridal party to the ceremony area. There, Krisha made her grand entrance, accompanied by the romantic strumming.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of sea and mountain views, heartfelt vows were exchanged, and rings were swapped as Minister Jeff pronounced the couple husband and wife. As the formalities came to an end, the newlyweds exited to Nano’s lively rendition of Gypsy Kings’ “Bombaleo,” with some 80 friends and family gathered to congratulate the newly pronounced couple.

The Wedding Feast – Savory Delights and Celebration.

The transition to the cocktail hour was seamless, with guests treated to an array of traditional Spanish canapés, where the tasty selection, including tangy prawn skewers and spiced mini fish cakes, added a hint of Iberian flair into the celebration. Meanwhile the parasols were gracefully shifted from the ceremony area to the dining terrace, creating an elegant setting for the subsequent festivities.

The dinner, served on the terrace, featured a tapas-style feast with patatas bravas, Spanish potato tortilla, and other Spanish delicacies. The main meal showcased the culinary richness of Spain with a trio of paellas—traditional mix, seafood, and meat—served to perfection.

The dessert buffet offered a delectable array with a choice of white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake, lemon meringue tart, and chocolate profiteroles. The celebration continued with heartfelt speeches, a four-hour DJ set by Kmiss, and a soulful performance by Joe Sax.

As night fell, the venue transformed into a magical wonderland, illuminated by twinkling lights that added a touch of enchantment to Krisha and Darren’s fairy-tale day.
