Historic Marbella wedding venue | Dream wedding on the Costa Del Sol
Karina and Karan’s decision to celebrate their wedding at a historic Marbella finca nestled amid lush greenery and captivating ruins was nothing short of magical.
Choosing the allure of Marbella for their special day was an easy decision. The city’s proximity to Malaga airport, the area’s sun-drenched beaches and a plethora of family-friendly activities made it an ideal choice for gathering family and friends for an extended celebration in the sunshine.
The celebrations stretched across multiple days, and today, we reflect on the focal wedding day, hosted at a lavish and historic finca in Marbella.

The day unfolded at one of Costa del Sol’s most sought-after wedding venues. Upon entering the expansive grounds of this remarkable finca, stretching over 10,000 square metres, guests were directed to the spacious terrace adjacent to the outdoor swimming pool. There, the wedding party were offered drinks, including cava, beers, and soft drinks, and enjoyed a moment of relaxed mingling before the anticipated ceremony.
The ceremony amid enchanting remains of the by-gone foundry
Against the backdrop of ancient ruins, the ceremony unfolded in a picturesque setting. The entrance music set the tone for the celebration that awaited, and Karan’s procession, accompanied by a traditional drummer, marked the beginning of a heartfelt ceremony. The rituals, steeped in tradition, intertwined with the modern vibe, allowed the wedding guests of all ages to enjoy every moment of the beautiful union in the sunshine.
Poolside reception and garden wedding feast
After the ceremony, guests were invited to enjoy a cocktail hour by the pool. Conversations flowed freely as sangria, beer, and soft drinks made their rounds, accompanied by a tempting array of canapés, ranging from garlic butter-stuffed roasted jumbo prawns to savoury Tunisian sea bass.
As the evening set in, the garden underwent a magical transformation into an enchanting space for the wedding breakfast, which commenced with a Taleggio cheese tart and roasted jumbo prawns. Taking centre stage for the main course was Paella, a Spanish specialty, showcasing the rich flavours of Spain’s culinary prowess. The celebration continued with heartfelt speeches and concluded with a trio of delectable desserts.
Dancing Under the Stars
The night transformed into a lively dance party, with Lucy Faye’s tunes and DJ sets, coupled with the open bar, creating an energetic atmosphere that lasted well into the night in an area adorned with twinkling lights that also offered a chill-out area for guests to unwind.
The lively party served as a fitting and magical conclusion to several days of celebration. Karina and Karan’s extended wedding events in Marbella encapsulated a celebration of love, tradition, and cherished family moments, all set against the backdrop of a historic Spanish setting.
