Pre-Wedding Party at a Spanish-Styled Terrace Bar
Natalie and Brendan’s wedding festivities kicked off with a lively pre-wedding party at a charming Spanish-Style terrace bar. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as guests mingled under the balmy Marbella night sky, serenaded by the soulful melodies of Spanish guitarist Nano, who set the tone for the fun-filled days ahead.
Bridal Morning Buzz and Welcome Drinks with a View
As the early morning sun bathed the celebration space in a golden glow, Natalie and her bridesmaids immersed themselves in the bridal preparations at a nearby hotel in glitzy Marbella. Meanwhile, Brendan and his groomsmen geared up for the day ahead.
The wedding venue, initially a family-owned restaurant, presented a picturesque backdrop in the heart of Marbella with breathtaking sea and mountain views, and it was there, with all the final touches in place, guests started to arrive and enjoyed a refreshing welcome drink in a shaded area, as the buzz of excitement grew.
Ceremonial Elegance with Music and Cold Fireworks
The ceremony unfolded in a unique ceremonial circle, between two towering Greek-styled columns. The soundtrack to this special moment was skillfully orchestrated by a keyboard performance from the bride’s own brother and the super talented local musician, Annya on violin. Cold fireworks added a touch of magic, symbolising the start of a new chapter for the couple.
The ceremony was conducted by the couple’s friend, Alex, who added a personalised and special touch into the union, and as the couple exchanged vows, a playlist selected by Natalie’s brother served as a sentimental soundtrack. With the wedding rings in place the ceremony concluded, signalling the start of the celebratory feast.
Cocktail Hour Extravaganza with Canapés Galore
The cocktail hour unfolded in a shaded enclave, providing guests with a delightful backdrop to revel in the stunning surroundings. Annya’s violin serenade continued, setting the mood for an hour of easy mingling as drinks flowed, including those from a gin bar, alongside the tempting array of canapés; mini beef steak on a garlic croûte, chicken satay pinchitos, tangy Thai prawn skewers, and prawn ceviche spoons were among the delectable appetisers served. This dynamic combination of music, drinks, and delicious bites contributed to an enjoyable cocktail hour, and set the stage for an evening of fun festivities.
Sunset Wedding Breakfast and Starry Night Dancing
As the sun set, the celebration shifted to the terrace, where guests enjoyed romantic dining with scenic views and a choice of white or red wine as a hearty BBQ meat and fish menu was served. After dessert, photographer Rebecca whisked the newlyweds away for enchanting pre-sunset photos. Meanwhile, glasses were filled with cava for the significant speeches upon their return, paving the way for everyone to join the dance floor and continue the celebration.
The first dance kicked in smoothly, courtesy of DJ R Jay who sustained the lively vibe well into the night and where the inclusion of fun elements, such as a photobooth and giant cornhole games, injected an enjoyable twist to the evening.
Approaching midnight, guests effortlessly shifted from the outdoor amphitheatre to the indoor bar area, ensuring a dynamic celebration with varied spaces throughout the day, and as the clock struck midnight, not did it only mark the start of a new day, but also the start of a new and beautiful chapter for the newlyweds.
Post-Wedding Beach Chill-Out
The fun extended beyond the night and into the following day as the newlyweds and their guests gathered for a relaxed beachside chiringuito lunch in Marbella. This solidified the entire three days of celebration as a truly memorable wedding experience.
