A beautiful Marbella wedding venue, with historic ruins, set the stage for a unique and breathtaking celebration last September. Join us today as we reflect on Pam and Tyler’s special day, nestled among ancient palm trees, avocado plantations, and exotic fruit trees…
With the lilac Andalucian mountains as a backdrop, guests arrived at this stunning finca where they were greeted by Groomsmen—Gerrard, Andy, Evan, and Grant—who guided them to the large terrace by the outdoor swimming pool.
A warm welcome awaited with refreshing drinks and the soothing tunes of local guitarist Nano who created a relaxed atmosphere, allowing guests to mingle and look forward to the day ahead.
The ceremony unfolded in front of the remains of a by-gone foundry, creating an enchanting setting. Led by friend officiant Janelle, the emotive ceremony united Pam and Tyler in matrimony, where the picturesque gardens, that easily accommodated the over 120 friends and family, provided an intimate yet spacious setting for the memorable day.
Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a vibrant cocktail hour surrounded by stunning gardens, ancient palm trees, and tropical plants. Uplifting flamenco music set the tone as guests indulged in a variety of hot and cold canapés whilst the newlyweds were momentarily whisked away by photographer Rebecca Davidson, who captured timeless memories for the couple as they explored the finca’s romantic backdrops.
The wedding meal featured a selection of favourite Spanish dishes, enjoyed in a central garden area beneath a magnificent one-hundred-year-old walnut tree. From lobster salad to roast sea bream and mouth-watering desserts, the meal was a culinary delight and the relaxed atmosphere, shaded by the ancient tree, provided the perfect setting for the wedding feast.
As dusk settled, the pond area near the main house transformed into a twinkling wonderland. Gypsy King tones sounded as Nano began his flamenco dance set, and guests gathered to witness the cake cutting. Following this traditional moment, it was time for the party to really kick-off and the dance floor near the water features came alive with the Wall Street Band playing Tina Turner’s “Simply the Best” for the couple’s first dance.
DJ Fuller then took over the music baton and ensured the celebration continued into the early hours.
This bohemian late summer wedding in Marbella, characterised by its low-key simplicity and beautiful styling, became a perfect rustic family celebration in the Spanish sunshine. The day unfolded seamlessly, filled with love, laughter, and the joy of a new chapter beginning for Pam and Tyler, who we thank for trusting us with their special day and we wish them love, health and happiness in their future together.
We also extend our thanks to Rebecca Davidson for capturing the magical moments, encapsulating a day that blended history, nature, and the heartfelt union of this lovely couple.
Adding to the allure of this venue, it holds the distinction of being Spain’s first-ever foundry. The remnants of this historical site contribute to a distinctive and grand setting, offering multiple spaces for weddings, along with the tranquil shade of a centennial walnut tree.
The expansive 10,000 square metres of stunning gardens are divided into various zones, each adorned with ancient palm trees and tropical plants. If you envision this venue as your dream wedding location, reach out to the Sunshine Weddings team today.
