Nestled amidst the Entrerrios Mijas hills, surrounded by lush golf courses, verdant greenery, and luxurious villas, a beautiful Hacienda in Mijas set the stage for a truly magical celebration of love. The rustic charm of this enchanting venue provided the perfect backdrop for Jean and Chris to begin their journey as a married couple, and today we take a look back on their magical day.
A Harmonious Prelude – Welcome drink and Spanish serenades
As the sun began to set, guests were treated to refreshing drinks while listening to the melodic tunes of Nano, a talented Spanish guitarist. His gentle strumming infused the atmosphere with a Spanish vibe, creating the perfect backdrop for the unfolding magic and the memorable moments that were yet to come.
Love Unveiled – The Ceremony
On the front lawn under the sunny sky, with Minister Jeff officiating, Jean and Chris exchanged vows. A moment made all the more special thanks to Jean’s very own sister who added a special touch to the ceremony with her beautiful singing.
The ceremony peaked as the newlyweds left to the upbeat rhythm of Gypsy Kings’ “Bomboleo,” marking the start of their married journey.
Harmonious Delights – Musical interlude and picturesque moments
The upper side lawn provided an idyllic setting for the drinks reception, where Nano’s enchanting melodies continued to serenade guests. Meanwhile, Talia from Thoroughly Gorgeous took the chance to capture intimate family photos and immortalize the special moments.
Feasting and Revelry – A culinary symphony
In the rear garden, the culinary journey commenced with a slate of tapas to share, showcasing the best of Spanish flavours with a selection of cold and hot items. Laughter and tears followed as heartfelt speeches were said before the main dishes were served.
The gastronomic experience unfolded with a choice of fillets of sea bass or rolled slow-cooked Spanish beef “steak” filled with seasonal vegetables; delectable mains which set the stage for a delightful evening filled with love and laughter.
Dancing Under the Stars – Flamenco and First Dance
As the sun dipped below the horizon, a captivating Flamenco show mesmerised guests for 20 minutes, infusing the evening with the fiery spirit of Spain before the evening reached its romantic height as the couple shared their first dance to “Real Love Baby” by Father John Misty, setting the stage for the start of the evening’s festivities.
The courtyard then became alive as the party bar swung open its doors, inviting guests to revel in a night of dance and celebration. DJ Jade ignited the dance floor with a four-hour set, injecting energy and excitement into the atmosphere. A dynamic duo featuring saxophonist Joe joined in for a thrilling hour of musical synergy, seamlessly transitioning into another hour of percussion-driven beats.
As the early hours approached, guests were treated to appetising snacks – mini hamburgers and pizzas, satisfying late-night cravings and keeping the festivities alive.
