Welcome & Ceremony – Amid Panoramic Views
As guests arrived, they were greeted with refreshing welcome drinks and the soothing melodies of a talented guitarist. There, in a picturesque setting, guests enjoyed a moment of easy mingling.
Afterwards, the wedding party was led through the charming grounds of the Spanish villa to the ceremony area. Bathed in the warm Spanish sunlight, guests took their seats next to an infinity pool, which provided a stunning backdrop to the ceremony. Ahead, the ceremony area boasted panoramic views of the distant sea, providing the perfect setting for Joey and Michael’s union under the sunny skies.
With the gentle strumming of guitarist Lee, the couple exchanged vows surrounded by loved ones. Joey looked radiant in her elegant satin dress adorned with a bouquet of pale pink and white carnations, while Michael cut a smart figure in a grey suit.
Against the backdrop of the hazy Spanish sunshine, the gentle sounds of a nearby cascading water feature added more magic to the ceremony set-up. Following the heartfelt ceremony, Joey and Michael now walked back up the outdoor aisle, this time as husband and wife amid cheers and applause and the ambient tunes of guitarist Lee and joined their guests for a celebratory drink at the finca’s upper terrace.
There newlyweds and their invitees were treated to a selection of drinks and Spanish canapes, from mini burgers to smoked salmon blinis all the while enjoying the ambient guitar sounds as Lee continued his music set.
Wedding Breakfast – Chic Poolside Dining
Following the reception on the villa’s charming terrace, guests moved poolside for the chic and intimate wedding breakfast, where the relaxing sounds of rippling water guaranteed peaceful dining. What’s more, the water features and serene blue surroundings offered a picturesque backdrop for photographer Issy, who skillfully captured the magic of the day.
As the sun began to dip, casting a golden hue over the villa and the Costa del Sol, guests sat down to a multi-course wedding breakfast. The menu featured options such as savoury chicken fillet filled with chorizo and mozzarella served with olive mash and a pique jus, or roasted fillet of sea bass on baby potatoes and sautéed spinach finished with balsamic. A fantastic feast that finished with a summer strawberry shortbread and homemade cheesecake and lots of fun and entertaining speeches that added a personal touch to the celebration.
Dancing Under the Starry Sky – Nerja Wedding Venue
With dinner concluded and the cake cut, it was time to hit the dance floor and groove to the tunes of the popular Costa del Sol music band, Monkey Tennis. Comprising piano and vocals, guitar, bass, and drums, the band delivered two energetic music sets, followed by tracks from a catchy playlist. Guests enjoyed over four hours of entertainment alongside an open bar, with late-night snacks including Tayto crisps sandwiches served until 3am. This sealed the most magical of days, surrounded by the most romantic of backdrops.
