A secluded private wedding villa near Mija became the perfect place for our bridal couple, Ragan and Neil, to hold their nuptials last July, surrounded by all of their friends and family. Located in the magical province of Malaga, today’s bridal story features a hidden Andalusian gem that we are excited to share with you.
This 200-year-old finca, skillfully restored, provides panoramic views, expansive terraces, and seating for 100 outdoors and 50 indoors. The venue, which seamlessly combines rustic charm with modern comforts, situated a convenient 15 minutes from the beach and away from neighbouring houses, transformed into the ideal setting for Ragan and Neil’s intimate and unrestricted celebration.
Welcome Drink with a View
Lemonade, water, cava, and San Miguel beer welcomed guests near the outdoor swimming pool, boasting stunning views. A carefully selected playlist featuring artists like Ed Sheeran and Coldplay set a relaxed atmosphere before the formalities began. Meanwhile, in the on-site bridal suite, the finishing touches to hair and makeup were skillfully captured by photographer Rebecca Davidson.
A Heartfelt Ceremony with Canine Companionship
Following the warm welcome, guests gathered on the upper terrace for Ragan and Neil’s heartfelt ceremony, where the presence of the couple’s beloved dog added a heartwarming touch. Against the backdrop of sweeping mountain views, Ragan, in her elegant lace mermaid wedding gown, and Neil, accompanied by their furry friend, shared a uniquely intimate moment.
The ceremony began with the entrance accompanied by Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” and concluded with the uplifting notes of Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars.” Popular Costa del Sol wedding minister Jeff Gruner officiated the fun and emotive ceremony, made even more memorable with the participation of the four-legged family member.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds were whisked away by the talented wedding photographer, Rebecca Davidson, for some fun filled snapshots to capture the special moments of the day, meanwhile their wedding guests were treated to a variety of canapés, including prawns with smoked salmon and vegetable spring rolls. Zoe Louise’s live performance added a musical element, and the children were entertained by Tina Kids and a bouncy castle as the timeline seamlessly moved from the drinks reception to the wedding breakfast.
Wedding Breakfast and Evening Festivities
The wedding breakfast unfolded in the swimming pool area, featuring a straightforward, yet delightful menu; warm Thai chicken salad, roast stuffed chicken breasts, and a trio of desserts were served with speeches adding amusing, yet touching moments to the meal.
As dusk descended, sparklers lit up the evening marking the transition to the party. DJ Kmiss took the stage, playing “A Million Love Songs” for Ragan and Neil’s first dance, and the four-hour open bar together with the catchy playlist ensured a lively celebration well into the early hours.
This summer soiree near Mijas was a celebration overflowing with love, laughter, and some paw-fect moments, crafting memories that will last a lifetime.
